Our tops are measured using the method described below.

As shown above:
1) Pit to pit (P2P) is the measurement across the chest from armpit seam to armpit seam when the garment is laid flat.
2) Top to bottom (Length) is the measurement taken from where the shoulder seam meets the collar straight down to the hem when laid flat.
In addition to your standard US size selection, our staff will consider these detailed measurements when selecting your items.
Pro Tip: If an item's measurements fall between two sizes, choose the larger size for a relaxed vintage fit, or the smaller size for a tailored look.
Bottoms
For bottoms, we use the two measurements below as additional details when selecting your items.

As shown above:
1) The waist measurement is taken from one edge of the garments waistband to the other
when laid flat, then doubled e.g a pair of jeans that measures 15” across is a 30” waist.
2) The inseam is the measurement taken from when the inside leg seam meets the body rise.
The inside leg measurement determines how the trousers will look while worn. Shorter inseams will give you a certain fit that can help accentuate your shoes. Longer inseams can create a more baggy and casual look.
Pro Tip: You can achieve a great fit by using the turn up where you fold an even turn all the way around the sleeve. This can be a great way to highlight your shoes and accessories.
Why Use Measurements
You might find a 1980s t-shirt tagged "XL" that measures 19" Pit to Pit—which is a modern "Small"! This happens because:
1) Shrinkage: decades of washing and drying can shrink natural fibers like cotton.
2) Style Trends: Eras like the 70s favored tight "muscle fits," while the 90s favored baggy, oversized cuts.
3) Manufacturing Changes: Vanity sizing has shifted modern size charts significantly larger over the last 40 years.
Pro Tip: Always trust the measurements, not the tag.
Size Mapping Table
We use the size mappings below as guidelines to curate your outfit boxes and tag our individual products. We consider your selected aesthetics and feedback as well which lead to slight adjustments on mapped sizes to curate an oversized, relaxed, or fitted look.
